Lisa
& Eric
Paradise
Valley, MT
The couple wanted a winter theme, and winter is what
they got! The weeks prior brought plenty of snow
and below zero temperatures, although on the wedding
day it had warmed up to the mid-twenties (that's
without the windchill, which I don't even want to try
to guess). Lisa wanted to get married outside,
so we brought out the heaters and although it was
cold, everyone bundled up for what was a fabulous
outdoor winter ceremony. We wanted to carry the
winter theme into the reception, only without the
freezing temperatures! My staff and I hit all of
our resources to make sure the room sparkled like the
winter setting outdoors. We dressed the tables
with custom white velvet linens and accented them
"winterized" manzanita adorned with white
orchids. We completed the tables with silver
chargers, short floral arrangements with white rose
& blue delphinium, and snowflake themed table
numbers. We tied it all together with white
velvet chair covers dressed with Ice blue crush chair
ties. We finished the room by dressing the
fireplace with a variety of winter-themed candles and
spectacular glass candle sticks that sparkled like the
ice cycles outdoors. Custom snowflake cookies,
ice blue jelly beans, sliver almonds, and blue
m&m's carried the winter theme over to the candy
table. It may have been cold outside, but this
wonderful couple, family and friends brought the
warmth to the "winter" reception.

Dave
& Mary Ann
Paradise
Valley, MT
Dave has been coming to
visit for 13 years, but this was Mary Ann's first visit ever
to the state and she arrived to find a 24,000 acre forest
fire burning just miles from the Paradise Valley wedding
location. Thankfully, rain and cooler weather arrived
and the fire, and the smoke, settled giving us lovely day
for a wedding, even with the storms that swirled around the
Valley. Since fire was on everyone's mind, we
incorporated it into the design featuring brilliant orange,
red, yellow and pink centerpieces on custom linens that
carried the color tag, "fire". For place
cards we wrapped orange ribbon around marsh mellows (when
life hands you fire, make s'mores) and displayed them in
split firewood all set around a mini campfire. Because
this was a dry year and fire is a very serious
concern, this as a "flame-free" wedding.
Instead of candles, we used led fire cubes in our candle
holders and took it a step further by creating a large faux
camp fire with the same fire cubes in the fire ring.
We rounded out the party with great food, wonderful friends,
a pink themed cake for the bride and a NY Yankees cake for
the groom.

Mitch
& Charlie
Big
Sky, MT
If
you’re looking for a true Montana wedding, you don’t
have to look much further than a small meadow at the top of
2 and half miles of winding forest service road. Cowboy
hats, boots, blue jeans and the casual feel of the west
mixed perfectly with formal attire and elegance to create
the perfect Montana wedding celebration. Guests were
bussed up to what seemed like the top of the world for the
wedding ceremony. Unparalleled
views surrounded family and friends, seated on covered hay
bales while the couple exchanged vows under the arch built
by the groom. Following
the ceremony, the guests moved to the large party tent
tucked into a meadow down below and awaited the arrival of
the wedding party, delivered in spectacular style in a wagon
pulled by a team of draft horses and driven by the groom.
Katalin
Green Design, along with Avant Floral, utilized white linens
accented with rich fall colored centerpieces to create a
crisp look with a punch of elegance to contrast the rustic
mountain setting. As
a fall evening chill fell over the mountains, guests enjoyed
a spectacular meal in the heated tent followed by an evening
of dancing and celebration, Montana style.

River Valley, MT
This wedding took
place on the family ranch in true Montana style.
Katalin Green Design converted the barn and
surrounding area into a wonderful Montana dance
hall where the guests danced to the music of
Montana Rose. Dinner was served under the
tent dressed with richly colored
linens, beautiful custom centerpieces,
and
elegant wood grained chargers. Ranch
trucks, grain silos, a teepee (where Katalin
cleverly hid the port-p-potties), the aptly
named Rattlesnake Ridge, and the wide open feel
of the big sky country punctuated this elegant,
ranch wedding.
