Classic Whitefish Wedding | Michelle + Adam

Michelle and Adam had a beautiful ceremony at the Lodge at Whitefish Lake followed by a local reception with Mike Murray Tunes.

"We met online while I was working in NYC. It was in March and on a Wednesday night, and I almost bailed! I wanted to go to the gym instead of a silly date. Long story short, we hit it off, and we went hiking next, clay shooting, then a fun dinner. Adam is originally from Colorado, and I'm originally from Texas. We both love working out, hiking, snowboarding, surfing, and traveling. During the pandemic, we packed up our dog and cat, and drove west to Montana to get out of the terribleness of the city. Montana has been my happy place for years. I fell in love with Glacier National Park after visiting my brother and my sister-in-law in East Glacier. During the pandemic, we lived there for a few months and later bought a house together in the Flathead Valley. On our drive back to NYC, we listened to Mike Murray the whole way home, Burry Me in Montana on repeat, and we camped all the way home instead of getting hotels with the dog and adventurous cat. About a year later, he proposed at the top of a mountain during sunset after a hike in the Catskills of New York State. It took about one full second to agree on Montana as our favorite place to get married. We just wanted an excuse to show friends and family what truly is The Last Best Place.” During our planning stages, my grandparents became very ill and we eloped in their backyard on November 26, 2021. I’m so happy we did bc my papa passed away right before our wedding in Montana. We are so happy we were able to include them.

Our wedding day was amazing! I honestly don’t think it would have been this beautiful and this much fun if I wasn’t lucky enough to have the best local vendors in town. I cannot speak more highly of Tim who owns the last chair, his food is to our high New York standards! And he knocked it out of the park. That was our No. 1 goal – the food needed to be phenomenal, and it was! Mike Murray will forever hold a special place in our hearts. It goes without saying that Rachel and Shayna are the absolute most talented beauty experts not only in the area, but that I have ever experienced. Our photographer, Ann Coen, made the entire weekend magical. We were surrounded by so much love and support on our wedding day, and that's the most important part.
