This gorgeous summer wedding at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake has it all – perfect florals, incredible details, and a darling love story. And you don't want to miss the dreamy Glacier National Park adventure session, either. Photography by Haley J Photo.
"Jack and I met as most people in the 21st century do, online. Though our story is a bit unconventional, it’s ours and we love it. Three months into dating, Jack was deployed to Korea, and we spent the next year doing long distance over a 14-hour time difference. Four months into his deployment, we decided we didn’t want to wait any longer to be married and ended up getting married online (shout out to https://www.proxymarriage.com). We had stand ins for both of us and got “married” in the state of Montana! Jack came home 8 months later and we finally started our newlywed life together in New York.
Our wedding day was everything I dreamed of and more. We were so blessed that our family and friends made the trip to Montana from all across the country to celebrate us and be a part of our big day! I couldn’t let everyone travel across the country for just one party though, so we had several other events during the week to make everyone feel loved and celebrated, including a welcome party, rehearsal dinner and post-wedding brunch. The wedding day itself was absolutely perfect. I spent the morning getting ready with my best friends, mom and mother in law. Jack and I had a first look on the mountain overlooking Whitefish, and it was so special. We were so excited to finally be able to get married in person and celebrate our love and everything we’d gone through to get to that day. After the beautiful ceremony officiated by my friend, Marcy, we ate, drank and danced the night away on the lawn of The Lodge overlooking Whitefish Lake and the mountains. We even got a pastel sunset to end the most perfect day, and start our beautiful life together." –Courtney, the bride
